Nearly 30% of senior class named National Merit semifinalists

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced today that 55 Harker seniors – nearly 30 percent of the Class of 2024 – have been named semifinalists in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. Semifinalists make up less than 1 percent of high school students who took the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Qualifying Test in their junior years. Semifinalists can become finalists by submitting an application that includes information such as their academic record, participation in school activities and awards received.
