Seventh grader Thea Kumar recently won a Judge’s Award for her Student Startup Pitch to Flintolabs, a residency program for grades 6-12 students using artificial intelligence to create solutions to real-world problems. Thea’s project is an AI assistant called Linea, which offers personalized suggestions and critiques to people looking to bolster their drawing skills. Linea also tailors feedback to artists of multiple skill levels. According to a blog on the Flintolabs website, Thea hopes future iterations of Linea will offer more detailed and specific feedback, including visual markers on portions of uploaded drawings.
