Over the summer, seventh grade Avaline Wang was one of just 19 pianists aged 10-20 chosen to perform at the Philadelphia Young Pianists’ Academy Piano Festival. Competing in the junior division (ages 12-17), Wang was awarded with an Honorable Mention for her performance. She also participated in the International Piano Professionals Association’s (IPPA) Piano Festival and received a Second Award in group C (ages 10-13)  of the professional artist division. Wang began playing the piano at the age of four and has also earned recognition from the Chicago International Music Competition, San Francisco International Piano Competition, Charleston International Piano Competition and more.
