Senior wins gold at International Linguistics Olympiad
Over the summer, senior Sylvia Chen won a gold medal as an individual competitor at the International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL), held July 26-Aug. 2 in Bucharest. As one of the highest scorers on the North American Computational Linguistics Open Competition (NACLO), Chen was one of 12 high school students selected in April to compete at the IOL on the USA Red team.
