In August, second grader Evelyn Hua performed in Helsinki after winning the Absolute Prize at the 8th Finlandia International Piano Competition. It was her second time performing in Europe, the first being her appearance in Italy after taking first prize at the WPTA Italy International Piano Competition. Her Finlandia International win is Hua’s third major award this year at piano competitions; she took first prize at the Silicon Valley Open Doors International Piano Competition and second prize at the ENKOR International Music Piano Competition.
