Tamagawa returns to Harker for first time in three years

On Oct. 14, sixth graders from Tamagawa Academy visited Harker for the first time in three years. Harker students had been chatting with their Tamagawa buddies online before meeting in person. A special reception was held featuring performances by students, including a routine by the Showstoppers dance group. During their time at Harker, Tamagawa students visited Harker classrooms for activities such as decorating cookies and pumpkins and attending art and dance classes. While staying in the Bay Area, Tamagawa students also visited popular local spots such as the Roaring Camp Railroad and the Santa Cruz Mystery Spot.

A number of the visiting Tamagawa students were hosted by Harker families, who gave them a tour of famous sites around the Bay Area, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Stanford University and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Harker sixth graders will meet again with their Tamagawa buddies during their visit to Japan in November.
