Students and faculty give blood for Stanford Blood Center

On Monday, dozens of Harker students and faculty headed to the Nichols Hall atrium to donate blood for the Stanford Blood Center. In all, 35 units were collected, five more than the goal. The drive also attracted 31 first-time donors. More than 100 lives could be saved by the donation, according to the SBC. Blood donated to SBC is used for many purposes, including blood transfusions, treating conditions such as cancer and heart disease, and during organ transplants.
