Gallery: Spring 2023 Performing Arts

The upper school’s spring performing arts season kicked off in January with a series of one-act plays featured in the Student Directed Showcase, followed by the instrumental winter concert (featuring the Lab Band, Jazz Band and The Harker School Orchestra) and the upper school dance production, “Better 2gether.” March saw the premier of 2023 upper school spring musical, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” which the cast and crew will be performing this summer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Senior Showcase in May featured all of this year’s Harker Conservatory Graduates, who were also presented with their certificates. The middle school also had several spectacular productions, with the 2023 Dance Jamz and the middle school spring musical, “The Addams Family,” as well as the spring choral concert, “There Will Be Singing.” At the lower school, grade 5 brought adventure on the high seas with “Pirates! The Musical” in January and kindergarten classes delighted audiences with their April show, “The Bear Went Over the Mountain.” The spring concert showcased the talents of lower school instrumentalists, and audiences were wowed by the young talent on display at the lower school dance show. Several cross-campus shows took place as well, including United Voices, featuring singers in grades 4-12, and Just Dance, which showcased dancers in the lower, middle and upper schools. April’s Evening of Jazz and Spring Orchestra Concert both highlighted the talents of middle and upper school instrumentalists.
