Megan Azebu Abarca ’08 is currently in Paris working as an assistant coach for the United States artistic swimming team at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Starting as an assistant coach at Stanford University in 2012, she later became head coach in 2018. Since joining Stanford, their artistic swimming program has won Collegiate National Championships in 2013, 2016 and 2021. USA Artistic Swimming, with whom she previously worked as the junior national team head coach, announced that she had been named to the USA Olympic team earlier this year, and she had been working with the team’s swimmers and coaching staff in Los Angeles in the months leading up to the games in Paris.
