The 25th annual Diana Nichols Harker Math Invitational for grades 6 to 8, held in March, attracted more than 400 contestants from 26 Bay Area schools taking part in the individual and team contests. In total there were 71 competing and 8 non-competing teams for the team competitions.
Several Harker students had notable results in the individual events, with Kenna Suen placing second in the sixth grade category, Ayden Bi placing fourth in seventh grade and Sean Zhang placing fifth in eighth grade. Harker also placed in the top three in all team events. Harker 602 (Ayaan Bhaya, Lucas Chang, Ishaan Jain, Aiden Kim, Felix Ma and Lauren Wu) took third place in sixth grade teams; Harker 701 (Ayden Bi, Ava Bull, Demir Ege Genc, Caleb Liu, Steven Park and Melissa Zhao) placed third among seventh grade teams; and Harker 801 (Mary Chen, Rebeca Costin, Jessica Li, Joseph Long, Sean Zhang and Moxi Zhu) placed first in eighth grade.
