Girls golf secured their trip to the Northern California Championships after their third-place finish on Tuesday at the CCS Championships. Sai Kaneshiro, grade 9, shot 72 to take third place in a field of 120 golfers. The compete at the NorCal Championships Tuesday in Berkeley. The team also took first place in league play on Sunday to complete their undefeated season and their seventh consecutive league championship.
On Tuesday, junior Pavith Khara won the West Bay Athletic League individual tennis tournament championship, with ninth grader Kendra Zhao placing fourth and the duo of seniors Olivia Guo and Vyom Vidyarthi placed second in doubles. Tennis faces King’s Academy today at the middle school at 4:15, looking to secure a berth in the Central Coast Section tournament.
Girls water polo drew the third seed in division 2 and will play Pioneer on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Woodside High School. For the third consecutive year, boys water polo qualified for the Open Division and are facing #3 Bellarmine on Saturday at Sacred Heart Prep.
