Last month, rising juniors Angelina Antony and Disha Gupta competed at the Health Occupation Student of America’s (HOSA) International Leadership Conference in Houston, where they took sixth place among 175 teams in the creative problem-solving event, marking the first time that Harker had placed among the top 10 in the competition. The students qualified for the international conference event after taking first place at HOSA’s State Leadership Conference in Anaheim over spring break.
HOSA is a student-led organization for middle school, high school and post-secondary students seeking careers in health care. It offers members leadership and health science programs as well as community-building opportunities.
