DEI director Davis co-delivers workshop at Trinidad and Tobago conference

Late last month, Harker Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director Brian Davis, who is currently working on his doctorate in education from the University of San Francisco, attended the International Peace Research Association Conference in Trinidad and Tobago with other USF School of Education students, graduates and faculty members. Davis and colleague Michiko M. Kealoha delivered a workshop on “Bias, Equity and Justice in K-12 and Community Colleges.”

Quoted in an article on the USF website, Davis reflected positively on the conference: “Presenting at the conference was a highlight,” Davis said. USF “prepared me well and equipped me with the tools necessary to engage in international conversations around peace, justice and equity.”
