The second-ever Day of Understanding, held Nov. 20, invited students to explore their differences and disagreements in more empathetic ways through student- and faculty-led activities and a special keynote talk by Dr. Ace Lehner, who discussed how people maintain control over their representation through such things as selfies and self portraiture. Activities included group discussions and an analysis of the Amanda Gorman poem “New Day’s Lyric.”
