Today, recent graduates Satvika Gautham and Melody Yin were named winners of college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships, which will provide between $500 and $2,000 each year of undergraduate study at a chosen university, for up to four years. Gautham’s scholarship is being furnished by Indiana University Bloomington and Yin’s by the University of Southern California. The next round of scholarships is scheduled for a July announcement.

National Merit Scholarship Corporation recently announced the first two rounds of graduating seniors who have won scholarships in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. Seniors Daniel Chen and Alicia Ran were both named winners of corporate-sponsored scholarships in late April, with Chen’s scholarship provided by NVIDIA and Ran’s provided by Nationwide Foundation. This week, Shreyas Chakravarty, Yasmin Sudarsanam, Chiling Han, Katerina Matta, Nelson Gou, Gary Jin, Juliana Li and Kashish Priyam were all named winners of $2,500 National Merit Scholarships.
