Last week, rising seniors Naiya Daswani and Emily Mitnick and recent graduate Siddhi Jain ’24 were named finalists in the 2024 INCubatoredu National Pitch Competition. The students’ business – a vegan, health-conscious take on instant ramen, called Shlurp – was chosen as one of the top five companies to move on to the finals, set to take place in Chicago on July 17. The winning team will receive funding to help launch its business. Harker has seen previous success in this competition, with another student-run company, called POTTR, reaching the semifinals last year and the dog toy company TuffToy winning the competition in 2022.
