As part of community service work he began in 2020, Neel Kumar, grade 10, is currently volunteering to lead coding classes and STEM workshops at local middle schools. These activities began last year as part of a collaboration with Kumar’s local YMCA. Kumar has spent the last few years helping his community by teaching local children via Zoom sessions and a YouTube channel where the recorded sessions can be viewed. He began teaching online during the COVID-19 pandemic and has also raised thousands of dollars for the non-profit child sponsorship organization Children International.
