Team Mango, made up of Harker sophomores Colin Li, Jaden Ruffy, Andrew Shin and team leader Bazigh Tahirzad, recently became a semifinalist in the 2024-25 Wharton Global High School Investment Competition. This yearly competition is a stock market simulation in which teams are tasked with creating a financial plan and investment portfolio for a potential client. Mango is just one of just 50 out of more than 1,800 teams to qualify. These remaining 50 teams will be separated into five groups of 10 teams each, with the top two teams from each group selected to advance to the finals in April.
