Last month, Valentina Mottl, grade 6, placed second in the Classical Auditions held by the Bay Area chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Mottl, who auditioned in group one of the youth category, performed two pieces for a panel of judges at California State University, East Bay and received a cash prize for her placement.
