Yesterday, Shlurp Ramen — the business founded by rising seniors Naiya Daswani and Emily Mitnick and recent graduate Siddhi Jain ’24 — was named one of the winners of the INCubatoredu National Pitch Competition at the finals of the competition, held in Chicago. Shlurp is a plant-based, gluten-free instant ramen product that was developed by the founders to be a “comfort meal that we feel great about eating,” according to the company’s website. The company will receive $5,000 in funding as one of the winners. Last year, POTTR, another student-founded company, reached the National Pitch semifinals. Dog toy company TuffToy won the competition in 2022.
