Last month, senior Gautam Bhooma won the 2023 American Association of Teachers of French National Francophone Culture Trivia Contest, competing at level B with other intermediate-to-advanced high school contestants. Selected from 14,300 players to compete in the live finals via Zoom, Bhooma, who began studying French in grade 6, was also the only competitor to correctly answer the contest’s ninth question about French playwright Molière.
