Last month, sixth grader Raeanne Li placed second nationally in the grades 6-8 category of the 2023 Chemists Celebrate Earth (CCEW) Illustrated Poem Contest. Her work can be viewed at the campaign’s website. Students who entered this year’s contest submitted poems and original artwork of their interpretations of the contest’s theme about the chemistry of algae.
