Kudos: Middle schooler picks up chess accolades over the summer
Over the summer, then sixth grader Nathan Yan had major success in multiple chess competitions. In August, he placed fourth overall out of 77 players in the under 14 group in the 2023 Pan-American Youth Chess Festival, held in Chicago. At the National Elementary Championship in Baltimore in May, he took the top spot in the K-6 Championship. Great work!
