Harker dancers recently posted impressive results at two consecutive competitions, winning top honors at Celebration of the Stars, held at Lincoln High School, and at the Festival of Champions, held at Cupertino High School. Members of the Harker Dance Company (HDC) and Kinetic Krew competed separately and as a combined group at both events.

At Celebration of the Stars on Feb. 14, organized by the Universal Dance Association, Kinetic Krew and HDC combined took first place in Musical Theater, Kinetic Krew placed first in Prop, and HDC JV took the top spot in JV Lyrical. In Small Contemporary, HDC Varsity placed third and the duet of juniors Isabelle Niu and Chelsea Xiao took third in Extra Small Dance.

The following Friday at Festival of Champions, HDC and Kinetic Krew combined earned first place in Small Hip Hop and Large Dance, while Kinetic Krew placed first in the Character/Prop category. HDC Varsity placed second in Small Contemporary. In addition to the team wins, sophomore Ava Ding was the top-placing soloist among 66 dancers.
