Alumni gathered in the Windy City in early January for a get-together at Sable Kitchen & Bar, inside downtown Chicago’s Hotel Palomar. Half a dozen alumni from the Chicago area and Christine Yan, director of alumni relations, introduced themselves to each other. Yan brought the group together so she could hear what the alumni office can do to support Chicago alumni and to let those who know each other catch up. The meeting at Sable, well-known for great food and inventive cocktails, was so much fun that Will Redfield ’87 and Mariposa (Widdoes) Brant ’96, both of whom have young families, are planning to organize something for Harker alumni and their families again when the weather warms up.
