English teacher wins Perugia Press Prize, debut book to be published in Sept.
Upper school English teacher Jennifer Siraganian was recently named the winner of the 2026 Perugia Press Prize. This annual contest highlights the work of women poets by publishing a book of the winning poet’s work. Siraganian’s collection of poems, titled “Everything Has Been Moved, Even the Dead,” explores the relationship between her family’s history in the Middle East and her identity and experiences as an Armenian-American woman, depicting episodes such as a grandparent’s ordeal during the Armenian genocide and a father’s experiences growing up in 1940s Palestine. “Everything Has Been Moved, Even the Dead” is scheduled for a September 2026 release.
