The 2023 Cancer Walk drew 600 members of the Harker community to the middle school campus on April 27 to raise funds for Camp Okizu, which organizes camping activities for families whose children are battling cancer. Per tradition, participants gathered at the middle school field to encircle the collection of flags on which people had written the names of loved ones affected by cancer. The event raised nearly $7,000 through sales of baked goods, t-shirts and other items. Attendees also enjoyed attractions such as carnival games and an inflatable slide.
