“The Wedding Singer,” the 2024 upper school spring musical has been nominated for three Rita Moreno Awards. The production was nominated for Best Overall Production, Best Lead Actress for senior Selina Xu in the roll of Holly and Best Supporting Performer for senior Isabella Ribeiro in the roll of Robbie’s grandmother, Rosie. Every year, the Rita Moreno Awards recognize excellence in high school musical theater for schools north of Santa Barbara. The winners will be announced during the awards show, to be held Mon., May 13 at the San Jose Center for Performing Arts. Winners in the Best Lead Actor and Best Lead Actress categories will move on to the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, held in New York City.
