The fall performing arts season got off to a strong start in late October with Harker Conservatory’s production of “The Laramie Project,” which details the reaction of the citizens of Laramie, Wyo.,to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard. The middle schoolperforming arts department produced alternate versions of the Peter Pan story with the grade 6 production of “Alice in Neverland” and the grades 7-8 play “Peter/Wendy.” Student musicians were also very active, with multiple concerts featuring instrumentalists and vocalists from the lower, middle and upper schools. Santana Row’s Spirit of the Row celebration, which featured performances by Downbeat, Harmonics, Kinetic Krew,Harker Dance Company, Dance Fusion and Showstoppers.
