Over the summer, eighth grader Dylan Tang saw success in multiple international chess tournaments. In July’s 2024 Pan-American Youth Chess Festival, which featured 368 players representing 28 federations, he won the gold medal in the Under-14 blitz tournament. The following month, at the 2024 North American Junior Chess Championship in Calgary, he placed third in the blitz tournament. That same month, Tang won the G10 National Champion title at the 2024 U.S. National Championship in San Jose.
