Over the weekend, three Harker dance teams placed in the top three of their respective divisions at Cupertino High’s Festival of Champions, competing against some of the Bay Area’s top dance groups. Harker Dance Company’s varsity squad placed first in Small Contemporary; HDC’s junior varsity team won silver in JV Jazz; and Kinetic Krew won bronze in Medium Hip Hop. All three groups were performing at the Festival of Champions for the first time. Senior Yasmin Sudarsanam placed fourth in the Drill Downs event among a field of more than 200 dancers.
