Junior Elie Ahluwalia was recently named one of the 20 winners in the New York Times 100-Word Narrative Contest, which challenged teenagers to compose a story inspired by an impactful event in their lives with just 100 words. More than 12,000 stories were submitted for this year’s contest, with 20 winners selected to be published, 28 chosen as runners-up and 72 awarded honorable mentions.
Ahluwalia’s story, titled “Papa’s Games,” has been published online, along with the other winners.
